Forehead Thermometer
Use & application
When applying the forehead thermometer, place it in the centre of the forehead, just above the eyebrows. Hold in place until the colour stops changing and read the indicator while it is still on the head. Note that environmental temperature can influence the performance of this product. Clean between each use by wiping clean with soap and water (do not soak).
How does it work?
Liquid crystals are chemical compounds and mixtures that exhibit the mechanical properties of liquids and the optical characteristics of solids. Liquid crystals that change colour with changes in temperature are known as Thermochromic Liquid Crystals (TLCs). The forehead thermometer utilises this technology for the measurement of clinical temperature trends in the health-care environment.
